Welcome
This week we take a look at Dee Washburn, gifted singer/songwriter and painter. I've had the pleasure of getting to play with Dee over the past few months. He is, in his own words, a Supertrucker, singer-songwriter, watercolor painter. Born in Shreveport, LA, with musical roots in Colorado, he has spent seventeen years working in Nashville. He drives a truck cross country painting and writing songs in his downtime. His work
is heavily influenced by traveling to European cities and visiting great art museums in Italy, and France. His mom is a gifted oil painter who has always encouraged his natural abilities. Awards include a 3rd place prize in the 2013 Tennessee State Fair. He has shown his art in Silver City New Mexico at Vibrations Art gallery from 2013-2014. He is influenced in art by Van Gogh, Franz Marc, Kandinsky, Chagall, Modigliani, and Matisse. Inspired by fauvism, expressionistic post-impressionistic
surrealism, Dee has a great passion for modern art. His musical influences are Neil Young , Jimi Hendrix, Buddy Holly and Bob Dylan. Dee has written many songs and released two full length albums. Etre aux anges (translated "on top of the world") captures the inspiration of Folk and Americana, and the other showcases his great testament to the early '90s rock movement. Slime Rock is the title track recorded with Ma’s Disease in Colorado. Dee is a member of and currently showing art at Tennessee Art League in downtown Nashville on 5th Avenue.
Also this week, I've been able to process "Bayside Ballad" with iZotope's "Neutron-Elements" and add binaural panning for enhanced spatial effect. If you've missed any of the previous updates, you can visit my BandCamp page, you'll see all the improvements I've made so far!
As always, thanks for listening!
