The lead guitar solo for
F-15 Eagle is finally finished! It only took 33yrs to complete this composition!! The synth and drums were written and recorded in 1986 during my second year at Auburn (Electrical Engineering Major), the spring before I left for Berklee. This was one of my earliest electronic compositions. It's harmonically
rather simple and repetitive, and I only had a DX7 (synth) and a RX11 (drum machine), but it has a great, driving energy, so I thought it might be worth resurrecting. The original recording was done on a Fostex B-16D (16 channel multi-track, 1/4in tape) and mixed to cassette. Today I have a year of guitar experience under my belt, and I've used the PreSonus Studio One (DAW) software (with amazing plugins) to clean it up. The addition of the Rhythm (power chords) and Lead (solo) Guitar parts add
even more power and edge to it. Enjoy the flight!!
