Welcome
This week saw a retro-fitting of the F-15 with power chords and little "hat-tip" to "Eye of the Tiger!" The original track (which was Synth & Drums) was written and recorded in 1986 (in the spring before I left Auburn (Electrical Engineering) for Berklee (Music Synthesis). That makes this one one of the earliest of my synthesized works. It uses a DX7 for the synthesizer parts (performed on a KX88 midi controller keyboard) and an RX11 drum machine. (Thanks Yamaha!)
It's always had a "Top Gun" type feel to it, so it was ripe for adding electric guitar. My intention was to create a lead (solo) for it this week, but it just wasn't mean to be...yet--the Muse had other ideas. So rather than fight it, I started playing with a rhythm guitar part, hoping it would help inspire the burning lead that it requires, and it has! Made some good progress on it this week, but couldn't finish in time. Enjoy!
As always, thanks for listening!
